The first stage in our design and build services is to hold a project brief with the client we do this to better understand the needs of the project so that we can deliver designs that our clients will enjoy living in. Our architect then visited the house to complete a site measured survey so that existing vs proposed plans and elevations can be produced as seen in the images below.
Once completed the drawings of the hip to gable loft conversion were presented to the homeowner, a couple of minor changes so we made these before moving onto the next step in the process. As the house meets the criteria the drawings were submitted to Barnet council under the homeowners permitted development rights.
A Certificate of Lawful Development was succesfully obtained for the hip to gable loft conversion. We then began work on Structural Drawings and Calculations and Party Wall Matters. After resolving all of these steps we were ready to notify Building Control that work will be commencing on this hip to gable loft conversion and to put the scaffolding up so that we are ready to commence the build stages of the loft conversion.
